Terms of Service

Effective October 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of Amplify. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Amplify (“Amplify”, “we”, “us”) covering amplify.cv, the Amplify web app, the Amplify iOS and Android apps, Amplify by text message, and X Circle (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that organization.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old, or at least 16 if you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Give us accurate information, keep your sign-in methods secure, and tell us promptly at support@amplify.cv if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. The Service (beta)

Amplify is an AI assistant for X: it drafts posts and replies in your voice, schedules and publishes the posts you approve to the X accounts you connect, and reports analytics. The Service is in beta. Access may be by invitation or waitlist, features may change, be added or be removed, and the Service may be interrupted or unavailable at times. Plans include usage limits (for example, messages, connected accounts, posts and tracked accounts), which are shown in the app.

4. Connected X accounts

  • You may connect only X accounts you own or are authorized to manage. By connecting one, you authorize Amplify to read its data and to publish to it on your instructions, as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  • You must follow X’s Terms of Service, Rules and policies, including its rules on automation and platform manipulation, in everything you publish through Amplify.
  • X controls its platform and API. X may change, limit or end access, or take action on your X account, and we are not responsible for X’s actions or for features that stop working because of them.
  • You can disconnect an X account at any time in the app.

5. Your content and approval

You keep ownership of the content you provide (messages, images, examples of your writing) and of the posts you publish. You grant Amplify a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce and transmit that content only as needed to operate and improve the Service for you, including sending it to our AI providers and to X.

You are in control of what is published. Amplify publishes or schedules a post only when you approve it, by pressing Post or Schedule on a draft or by explicitly asking Amplify to post or schedule it. Review every draft before you approve it. You are solely responsible for the content you approve and publish, and for making sure it is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe anyone’s rights.

6. AI-generated output

Drafts, replies, suggestions, summaries and analytics insights are produced with AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or similar to content created for others. Web search results Amplify uses may be wrong. Output is not professional, legal, financial or medical advice. Check facts, links and claims before you publish, and do not rely on output as your only source for important decisions.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • send spam or manipulate X, including bulk, duplicate or unsolicited posts, replies or mentions, fake engagement, or coordinated inauthentic activity;
  • harass, threaten, impersonate or mislead people, or post hateful, violent or sexually explicit content;
  • publish anything illegal, or anything that infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • get around plan limits, rate limits or security measures, or access the Service through automated means other than the interfaces we provide (including automated X Circle lookups);
  • probe, scan or attack our systems, interfere with other users, or reverse engineer the Service except where the law allows it;
  • resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.

We may remove content or limit features to enforce these rules.

8. Plans, billing and cancellation

  • Amplify offers a free plan with limits and paid plans. Prices and what each plan includes are shown in the app before you subscribe.
  • Paid plans bought on the web are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe, our payment processor, until you cancel. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for each period and any applicable taxes.
  • You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the Billing screen. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid features until then. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and we do not refund partial periods.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription by itself. Cancel your subscription first.
  • If you buy a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that purchase is billed by Apple or Google under their terms, and you manage, cancel or request refunds for it through them.
  • We may change prices or plan features. We will tell you in advance, and a price change applies from your next billing period after the notice.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as X, AI model providers, Stripe and app stores. Your use of their services is subject to their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and branding, belongs to Amplify and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or X’s rules, if your use creates risk or harm for others, X or us, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service; where reasonable, we will give notice first. When your access ends, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 5, 6 and 12 to 17) survive termination.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that posts will be published at an exact time, or that using Amplify will grow your audience or achieve any particular result.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amplify will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, followers or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose and US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they apply to you only to the extent the law allows.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Amplify against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you publish through the Service or your violation of these Terms, X’s rules or the rights of others.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, this does not take away protections you have under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the updated Terms apply; if you don’t agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

17. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Amplify about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
